about the artist

I received a BA in Modern Literature from The University of California at Santa Cruz. I completed the Graduate Bench Jeweler program at New Approach School for Jewelers in Virginia. I've been working at the bench for about 4 years... 3 of them spent at my current place of employment. I currently work as a goldsmith's apprentice in a retail jewelry store, but I hope to make the move to wholesale production, model making and design. My ultimate goal is to have my own production line. All of the work shown here was done while at my current place of employment. Most of these pieces were done as special orders, but a few of the pieces were intended as stock for the store. If you are interested in more details about the process of any of the pieces shown here, or if you would like to see my complete portfolio please email me.

2010 - antique ring reproductions

This was an interesting project because my challenge was to reproduce three rings that had gone through the garbage disposal. I had the appraisal with the stone weights, a poor quality photograph and three chewed up rings.  I hand fabricated everything excluding the two 4 prong heads for the center stones out of 14k gold (white and yellow).  My mentor did all of the stone setting and soldered the rings together while I was on vacation. I was told that the customer was thrilled and thought they looked exactly like her rings did when they were new (many moons ago).
